Peter Stepanek was born in Czechoslovakia on November 28.1975 As a child, he was always curious and fascinated by photography and television. It was a wonderful mystery which he decided to peruse. The journey began.

He traveled throughout Europe and the Balkans with his family and visited several countries allied behind the iron curtain. It was very difficult, if not impossible, to travel to the western countries, but all that changed on November 11.1989 when the Berlin wall fell.

Peter's family saw great opportunity and shortly after moved to Sweden to reunite with the rest of the family who escaped under the Russian invasion in the Spring of 1968. Peter spend his teenage years in Halmstad. An old town dated back to the 13th century.

Surrounded by the ocean, beaches, deep mushroom forests, museums, galleries with exhibitions of both Swedish and international artists. Year-around concerts, movies, lections, guided tours and festivals. Peter was active in his community and attended many of these events, made his way behind the camera, falling in love with taking pictures and mastering the craft of grasping the emotion of any ceremony, family affair, historical moments and special events.

I July 1998 was time for another adventure and Peter came to United States Of America and traveled throughout the entire country. Watching all the American classics while growing up Peter fall in love with the country. He always had a heart for adventure, foreign countries, people, customs, cooking and languages.

He learned that it doesn't matter Where you from, rather then where you have been and what you have learned.

Once again, his keen eye and creativity, matched with his dynamic personality have made him one of the finest photographers in the area. He formed Skyhighart.com 2001 and been active in the photography community ever since. He currently lives in Georgetown, where he works out of his photography studio and partnered up with GVP Media |www.GVPedia.com| as a Director Of Photography.
